One Stravinsky work that isn't in the above Universal box is the 1944-48 Mass, the work I have been listening to after weeks of listening to Oedipus Rex.

The Mass is for SABT choir (Stravinksy wanted a bunch of boys for the soprano part) and double wind quartet.

It's very spare and very lovely. The composer wanted no vibrato in the choir, which was hard to get by first.

I have a couple recordings and the one that works best for me is the Reinbert de Leeuw recording on erstwhile Philips.

The DG Complete Edition has Bernstein's recording of the Mass. But it has de Leeuw's recording of Cantata and some of the short choral works.

Yes, this is one of my favorites from Stravinsky. I really love that Leeuw performance as well. I also love the O'Donnell on Hyperion, which I believe is OOP now.

I like this one you mention, which I am listening to right now for the first time. 

For a long time the Bernstein recording was the one I was most familiar with, but I also really like the Herreweghe recording, as well as the Robert Craft one on Naxos.  The first version I heard was of Stravinsky's own, which still holds a sentimental place in my heart.

The no inclusion of violins and violas provides a darker tone to the sometimes lugubrious and sometimes imposing music. An orchestration who nobody else could create. It shows a facet of the originality of this composer. Despite the composer employed Latin texts, the chorus sometimes sounded like singing Orthodox Russian chants, a very interesting effect.
The current annihilation of a people on this planet (you know which one it is) is the most documented and at the same time the most preposterously denied.

I re-listened to this work recently as well and couldn't agree more. A masterpiece. I'm often quick to write off a lot of Stravinsky's post-Rite music, but the Symphony of Pslams has none of the "dryness" that occasionally creeps into the other works from his "neoclassical" period.

I am just the opposite: Le Sacre and those works before is the music I DON'T listen to by Stravinsky.  The Symphony of Psalms and most of his "Neo-Classical" period, as well as his late works, make up my Stravinsky playlist.

I'd like to extend an apology to Rafael and anyone else who I doubted about the Stravinsky Conducts Stravinsky series on Columbia (Sony). I think it is quite special and there's certainly the sense of occasion with these performances, but it does help that they're as well performed as they are. I owned several iterations of this series. The first one I bought was this one (released in 2007):



Then I bought the even earlier one from the early 90s:



Then I finally wound up buying this one back in 2017:



I wound up giving both of the earlier sets away. I can't remember who I gave the 2007 set to, but the early 90s set I gave to my dad as he didn't own any Stravinsky in his own collection. I'm rather pleased with the fidelity in this newer set plus it contains some rarities like that Robert Craft recording where conducts the first version of Les noces, but also this particular has never been released before on CD. Anyway, I'll quite blabbering now. :)

Is the cardboard box shown in second place all the separate "fat" volumes with comparably fat booklets?
I got 5 volumes (11 discs altogether) of that one and also a single discs with the 3 famous symphonies. Although the cheaper box shown in the first place was already available when I bought most of these, I decided to go for the ones with better documentation. Because for the vocal works and some other lesser known works, I'd be a bit lost with a bare bones edition. (And because I already have enough "rites" I also skipped the first volume with the famous balletts).
