Chausson and Debussy together in a painting
« on: July 25, 2010, 07:02:41 PM »
A painting at the NY Met which depicts a singer rehearsing with Chausson at the organ, and Debussy listening

The painter was Chausson's brother in law.  Details, and a Vierne movement from Youtube, can be found here

Fascinating, thanks for bringing this to light. I always like it when there are paintings of composers with other famous people of the day around as well - gives you an idea of the the creative atmosphere must have been like!!
