(poco) Sforzando

Perché è il libretto in italiano, ma il titolo in francese?

Maybe Rossini wrote it while he was waiting for his visa to be processed.

Our librettists are following the case and will be developing the Act III Finale as the story breaks :)

I thought this was the one where:

Naomi throws a party. Her ex-housekeeper, (who has a phone embedded in her head), turns up and in a heartbreaking aria begs for the legitimate compensation she is due.

In the following recit Naomi throws a tantrum 'Furioso' and another phone, while swigging secco.

This leads into an extended mad scene of self pity, 'Vissi d'arte povera mea' where all her earlier indiscretions are inadvertantly brought to light, but blamed on others.

Suddenly a fiery pit opens up and a chorus of demons drags her skinny ass down to hell.

The guests in a manic ensemble then reflect on the hedonism of modern life and throw their chauffeur's car keys into a large Venetian glass bowl....curtain.

Or perhaps a more dramatic denouement is in prospect.
