Needed a break.  I've returned with the resolution to avoid the Diner unconditionally, and to learn to ignore posters who think it is productive to post the same statement 100 times in a row because they feel that the first 99 times wasn't enough to get their point across.

I'm often a victim of the old "Someone is wrong on the internet" syndrome.  I think after a while you realize that nothing you have to say is going to budge most people from their opinions.

I find that ignoring certain posters, is a good thing to keep your sanity, and I am perfectly aware that quite a few posters are blocking me. But thats okay.

Harry - don't be concerned - plenty of us read your posts and love seeing the recent purchases!

I think most people are. I guess you can think of some threads that involve certain posters as a kind of cheap entertainment- like a Jerry Springer for us uppity classical folk.

Instead of "we have gathered 8 possible fathers here, and today we do a test of who is the real father," we have "if I were in power, I would ban atonal music and all rated R movies."

It's probably wise to stay away from The Diner. I try to stay away from anything that isn't related to music.
