My old fave was Glenfiddich up...with an Anchor Steam back...at least for serious drinking.  With meals I'd be inclined to favor something like a 1966 Château Léoville-Las Cases, or a good Napa Valley Chardonnay with fish.

But these days my favorite is mixed:  a smoothie, made with plenty of fresh fruit (including the must-have banana!) and plain yogurt with just enough fruit juice to whip it up and just enough ice to cool it down and give it a little tooth!

When I used to drink, my favorite was Crown Royal Canadian Rye Whisky with either coke or Sprite.

Other favorites included red wine, Sleeman's Honey Brown beer, Scotch with water and ice, or Scotch with soda, or Gin with Sprite or Pink Lemonade.  Liked the taste of Gin, but it turned me crazy.

Anyways, haven't drank in 4.5 years now.

Me too. That's why I only have one. When I have one.

...that and the calories.

Whisky, neat. Or red wine, cut in half with plain tap water.

...red wine, cut in half with plain tap water.

That's interesting.

Not sure how specific we're supposed to be. If we have to choose merely a type of drink, then single malt Scotch whisky is my choice. Every one is a different journey.

If I have to choose a particular and sensibly affordable malt, then it would either be Glenmorangie, packed with comfort, character and honeyed delight; or, if I wanted the whiff of peat, the feel of huddling round the fire on a cold raw night, and tall tales told of old adventures and ancient voyages, it would be Ardbeg.

If you were to allow me to spend a bit more, then I'd choose Abelour A'Bunadh: a drink worthy of William Wallace, Robert the Bruce, and Bonnie Prince Charlie. A drink Dr Johnson might have been imagining when he asked, on his tour of the Hebrides: 'Come, let me know what it is that makes a Scotchman happy'.

If you could choose only one alcoholic beverage/mixed drink, what would it be?
