Brits will be aware (as will some others) that we're somewhere in the middle of "The Proms" - the longest-running and largest-scale music festival in the world.

GMG Members are invited to submit their programmes for a Fantasy Prom Concert Series.

  • please confine yourselves to artistes alive & working currently
  • the aim is to suggest programmes, and not just list your favourite pieces
  • please put the programme in order, with an interval, etc
  • programmes have to be feasible with just the one orchestra or ensemble you choose - you can't leap from a symphony orchestra to a consort of crumhorns within one concert
  • please specify the orchestra or ensemble, the conductor, the soloists, the chorus (if applicable), etc
  • new commissions are very welcome, please say which (and why)
  • try to keep the programmes to around 2 hours or slightly less - unless compelling reasons apply!
  • balanced, realistic programmes would be very welcome :)
  • you can assume you have the full use of a large concert hall, with organ, large stage etc, and a budget to buy the best you can suggest :)
  • you can be as controversial, eclectic, obscure or mainstream as you like :)
