My choice: the Penderecki of Utrenya, St Luke Passion, Canticum Cantorum, De Natura Sonoris. Not the Penderecki of the "Christmas Symphony" and similar works he composes the last 30 years.

I voted for Lachenmann, although I like Carter and Penderecki a lot, too. (Don't know either of the others.)
