Thank you Benji!

Here's a detailed explanation:

http://www.dtgeeks.com/journals/article/hdr_imaging_explained/

Yeah HDR (high dynamic range) is a work-around to get both the highlights and shadows in an image perfectly exposed. This is generally impossible to do in a single shot because the sensor, like your eyes, can only have the aperture set at one width at a time, depending on the maximum brightness of the light in the scene. As you will know, with any very bright light source in your eyes you can barely see anything else so all shadow detail is lost.

It's basically lies because nobody could ever actually see that scene as it is! And combining the effect with a long exposure is doubling up on lies. Thankfully we have the concept of artistic license and that makes it ok to lie  8)

Not true, the retina is extremely adaptive and can discern an enormous dynamic range compared with a CCD sensor.

Yes it was bundled, but after spending a little over $800 , I decided to get the other things that I want to get gradually. I also heard some people complain that the T1i is a bit pricy, it may be so, but I think its worth the money, especially if you love photography, I know I do.

I also want to get this mounted Flash by Canon:

Nice! I considered that, but i'm eyeing up this one instead:

It's nearly twice the price but what the hell! People spend thousands on equipment, why should I feel guilty about a few hundred?!

Oh absolutely! I'm talking about taking photos of sunsets with the sun in the frame and the shadows nicely exposed too using a number of shots adjusted. What I meant was that your eyes couldn't see the single merged image as it is, i.e. containing the highlights and shadows exposed correctly. Of course, neither could the camera - it took four separate shots!

That looks a bit complicated lol...

Well, have fun with it!

I'll settle for the 270ex

Aight...if I'll get it before you...

Yes, I do have some nerdy pictures taken in Manhattan with my privious camera, the Powershot by Canon...
But that's nothing major...

Saul - I'm glad that you are liking your new camera, but please instead of links just post the pics - for me at least it's a pain to click on every link and look at what you took - thus, I (and I would assume others avoid doing the linking) - just a suggestion and completely up to you -  :D

Hi Sonic thank you,

The problem is that for some odd reason the pictures that I post on GMG come out small, so there is no point to attach them on the site, but linking them to my page enables everyone to view larger pics.

Hope you understand.

Cheers,
