I havent listened to the Amadeus Quartet's Beethoven for 25 years. At the time I prefered the Quartetto Italiano. I think it might be time to listen to them again, as I find this low key, unpretentious yet heartfelt approach very beautiful.

I bet the DG CD's dont sound as good as this persons lovely Vinyl
