Is this a pile of discs newly bought and yet to be listened to? Or just a selection from your collection you are lining up?

When in Scotland I had a friend who bought in such bulk that he always had a pile of about 20 discs he had not yet listened to.

I don't have any that I have not listened to and find there are certain singers whose work I keep gravitating to. Recently though I have been wanting to hear large scale orchestral work and have been repeatedly listening to a Wagner chunks disc by Stokowsky.

Ouch, there are so many I haven't listened to yet, that I usually don't know where to start and have to throw the dice!

But, I love to listen to new Bruckner symphony recordings, and I haven't really listened too much to symphony no. 7 yet:

Jochum/RCO (live from Tokyo, 1986):

Schuricht/Haag PO

And I need to listen to this one (as I am not very familiar with this music yet...):

Ah...right, then Tony Athletic needs to drop in and provide you with a goodies list.

This one by Phillip Bimstein, called Larkin Gifford's Harmonica, which I hope to get around to this weekend.

Wow! You haven't listened to the Goode set, yet? I thought you'd have devoured that long ago.

I had begun to get a tiny bit sick of Beethoven PS, so I have taken a break.  :)

This is the only CD I got recently which I have not listened to yet.

Still waiting for the Naxos Stravinsky Rite transcription to arrive.  ::)

Kullervo

and I'm looking forward to going through the Martinů symphonies set. :)

I like that Hogwwod CD. The Martinu symphonies are a no go for me.

Why not?

I should have kept notes to answer this question. He undercooked the early and overcooked the latter. The range of mundane to too busy.

My "To-Listen-To Pile" consists of just one CD; Granados - Piano Music Volume 8 - Douglas Riva/Naxos.
Spatial distortion is a serious problem deteriorating headphone listening.
Crossfeeders reduce spatial distortion and make the sound more natural
and less tiresome in headphone listening.

I only have a handful of 'to-listen-to's, but these two are at the top:

I've only ever heard Meistersinger once in concert which I really enjoyed - I was surprised that I could sit still for so many hours :o ;) - so I'm pretty keen to revisit it. Actually, the performance didn't seem long at all, but I'll still need to have a free evening for it. I should pop the Browning on now ...
Durch alle Töne tönet
Im bunten Erdentraum
Ein leiser Ton gezogen
Für den der heimlich lauschet.
