Do you sometimes find yourself whistling to a tune for no particular reason...?

With me these couple of days its a section from Korsakov's Scheherazade, I don't know why, but I like it...

:D

Sort of, yes! It's usually a tune I have heard fairly recently (though not that day, necessarily). But I seem to have a particular affinity for Wagner, and out of nowhere will spring Meistersinger, or Fliegende Hollander, or Lohengrin, or Tannhauser, Lord knows why!!(Maybe because they are GOOD TUNES?!)

I never whistle, but I do play music in my head - always Bach.

No people do listen to music on the holiday, that wasnt the point.
Your point was attaching a particular music to a particular holiday...

Comeon... dont you have what to do?

I give up. Please, carry on with your whistling thread. I will watch closely for when you start your farting thread.

Oh please I pray that that the farting thread doesn't merge with this one. That'll be when GMG hits rock bottom.  ???

Well it was you who brought up idiotic things to the discussion such as farting.
Go back to your playbox.

Why'd they let you back in GMG anyway? Someone should explain that.  ;D

Lads, lads, lads... let's all play nice, shall we? I know a guy who could whistle by farting. He was quite entertaining before we all had to leave the room. But we left with a song in our hearts.   0:)

Gurn - LOL!  ;D  A whistling thread turning into a 'farting' one - both topics that are of interest to me as a GI radiologist - OH, the memories -  :)

In medical school (U. of Michigan, Ann Arbor) in the late 1960s, one of my Professors of Physiology (first year course) was the Chairman of the Department, Horace Davenport who was a GI specialist - an absolutely enthralling teacher who kept us all awake during his lectures - please check out his bio on the link, if interested.

But at the end of my physiology course, Dr. Davenport presented several 'fun' talks - one of objects inserted into the rectum (coming through of U. of M. ED) and the other on gastrointestinal gas - the latter I could elaborate further w/ much detail but this was a great reminder of one of the best experiences that I had in medical school -  8)
