An Origami Master passes away

I love origami, and even though I could never hope to aspire to the mastery shown in a few masters, I can admire their work.  There is one folder in particular that has elevated the craft (usually explored by scientists and mathematicians) to art with works that show a sensitivity and warmth not found in most origami models.  Even if you don't know or care to know about origami, I think that you would still appreciate Eric Joisel's art:

I thought it needed to be folded to be considered an Origami. This seems to be more like paper-sculpting. Either way, pretty cool.

They are just folds actually! :D  The curves come from delicate, soft folding and shaping.

Yeah isn't it Karl?  It's amazing what one can do with one sheet of paper!  The possibilities are endless. :)  Well okay the possibilities are limited topologically equivalent to the original sheet... but you know what I mean! :D
