I usually get about 6-8 hours of sleep during my workdays. When I'm off of work, it's whatever I feel like, but probably around 7-8 hours. I work Saturday-Tuesday and I'm off Wednesday-Friday, so this is a nice schedule that I've gotten quite used to it now. Lately, I've just been getting up at 10 AM every day for some reason. I'll go to bed by 1 AM and the alarm is set to 10 AM when I work. It usually takes me about an hour, when I'm in the bed, to actually fall asleep.

Closing and then opening is absolute BS! I'm glad I don't have to deal with that. Since I'm a closer (12 PM-9 PM) at the store I work at, my day is pretty much gone by the time I get off, but I prefer this than having that close/open type situation arise. I'm one of two closers in my department, so that schedule will never happen to me and if it does I'll be sure to tell the manager I won't be working it. I was hired to close my department, so this is what I will continue doing. Plus, I don't have to deal with the BS the morning and overnight shifts have to deal with. :D

I actually feel amazingly well-rested on just a few hours with regular naps throughout the day. Plus, it gives me a chance to be up at night when everyone else is asleep.
Do you think you'll be able to continue this when (your) spring break is over?

Hopefully you start getting up earlier than 10AM again... Less than two hours in the morning, and your day is over.  :-\

I think so — my job is pretty flexible, so I'm sure they'd be fine with me taking a 15-minute break during my shift, and the gaps between my classes would give me enough time to nod off in the library if I need to. It'll probably suck for a week or two, but I'm interested in how far I can take it. The amount of stuff I'm getting done in a day alone makes it worth it.

My day is over any day I have to work. :) But seriously, I work four in a row and I'm off three, so I get plenty of rest in before I go back on Saturday. :)

Sleep is a bad habit.  ;D

It 'knits up the unravelled sleeve of care'.

I get about six hours, often less, occasionally more. It is not really enough. My back problems tend to wake me up. One night about a month ago I had over eight hours, exceptional for me. I did not feel any fresher though.
