Diebold (Israel) will determine the outcome, not the fact that I vote for this shill or that shill. I would never vote on electronics.

And no, Maryland is wrapped up,...always,...so, there is no point in voting. I would loooove to see our lifeterm congresspeople learn to do something else, but, the people of Maryland have spoken, and desire cradle to grave coddling.

Really, just watch some of those YouTube clips of people interviewing voters. I mean, 'Merkins are DDDDDDDUUUUUUUUUUMMMMMMMMBBBBBBBBB!!!!!!!

I want to go to the poll and pretend I'm filming, just to see what happens.

Unless,....they have a NONE button.

Well, the Democrats will have the same ability to obstruct that the Republicans have now.

I KNOW! Why do you think I'm so pissy? >:(  I don't favor either one of those gangs, since neither of them deserves my favor. We play this stinking f****** game back and forth and back and forth and meanwhile we've been bought out by everyone who wasn't busy selling us out! I get so mad I could chew off my tongue... >:(

Well, Putin doesn't seem to have much to do these days.  Maybe he can come out here and straighten things out for us.   ;D

Even a Libertarian deserves a little happiness now and again.

Yes, we are highly deserving.  Well, it's time for me to walk down to the local middle school and vote.  Like Gurn, I'm not going to vote for any incumbents.

I wish I could vote.  :D

I just moved, not registered so no voting. But I wouldn't anyway because both parties stink.  That doesn't make me a tea party member though, that movement never really made sense to me.  I simply have no confidence that our government will solve our economic crisis, I don't think they can.

No government can ever solve any economic crisis.  The long-term solution is a combination of government policy and business activity.  The US has weathered some pretty severe crises in its past, and I'm pretty sure it will weather this one.

Depends on what you mean by "weather."  The US will still be here, but whether the economic security of the "working class" will persist is not clear to me.

I Voted

One day I am sure I will be able to say that.

I had several chances to vote here in China, usually something like 4 candidates chosen by the gov and you vote for 3 of them. (That is already an improvement from the days when the number of candidates equals the number of positions.)
Of course I refused to vote.

Paul, in humility I thank you for the reminder that, even in these wonky times, we have the right of the polls.

I vote tonight.
All Dems.

Yes, your situation is exactly why I voted. I have never missed voting since 1972, and it is because I can that I do. I would love to see your situation improve, Paul. It's true, I am actually voting against instead of for for the first time, this time, but at least I can do that. :-\

If by working class you mean comparatively unskilled workers in the service sector or less skilled workers in manufacturing, then my question would be: When did they really enjoy economic security?

Beyond that, the type of concern and rhetoric we are experiencing now is a variant on what occurred in 2001, 1991, 1980-82, 1973-75, 1948, 1929-1935, 1937-1940, 1920, 1907, 1893, etc.  This time it's really different, though.
