The public library in my home town was my introduction to classical music as a kid. I am certain I wore out their LP of Peter and the Wolf in their listening facility.

The short answer is no. The long answer will be long, but it will again be no.
Thanks. It was probably a dumb question, I know, but I've been wondering about that for a while.

Hey Joan, where do you work? My sister will probably steal that one. She thinks Hvorostovksy's hot. Better still, have you a dvd? ;D
So. Cal., but where exactly, I'm not tellin'!  ;D

Some stuff I picked up today  :D

Solitary Wanderer

A friend of mine 'borrowed' 5 of my DVD's in February. I've seen him 3 times since then and he hasn't returned my discs.

I'm seeing him again this Sunday so I'll send him a 'reminder' notice tomorrow ;)

This is the reason why I'm reluctant to loan out my DVDs, CD's, books etc >:(

We have similar friends. I loaned a stack of Doctor Who DVDs to a friend some time at the start of the new year and they have not been returned as of yet. I see him just about daily, however, so I may mentioned it to him tomorrow. :)

It turns out the friend to whom I loaned several CDs never listened to any of them and sent them to his mother's house in a box.  >:(

In other news, I just picked up the Borodin Quartet playing Borodin's 1st and 2nd string quartets on Melodiya.
