No! Not This Month! (Developing Resistance to CDCDCD)

Inspired by our struggling neighbors and their poignant testimony on the CDCDCD thread . . . I thought that it might strengthen resolve to have a thread dedicated to CDCDCD Enders : )

It occurred to me that perhaps I am too cocky in the pleasure I have taken in not making any new music purchases yet in the new year (which is, after all, only five days old). So I impetuously resolved to be CD-abstemious throughout the month of January.

Who is with you....you must be joking. Within 12 hours of the New Year I ordered two Moeran discs, they arrived today. Then on the 2nd, nothing daunted, Handel Arias sung by Bejun Mehta.....so there.

Well, I am pledged for January.  If anyone else comes aboard, we might discuss the rigors of extending the freeze through February . . . .

Well, it's already been established that gift cards are exempt.  What are the tax implications of having salary dispensed in the form of gift cards?

There ya go! That's what I do,... start with the earliest cd, and go through 'recitals' and such. I mean, I strategically got stuff I'm not to fond of, just for these times, tough nuts and such.

Yes, I think most everyone (except me) has oodles of unopened cds lying around. Hey, I volunteer to be your personal cd reviewer! PM me!
