Ya, I'm just being dramatic - even his ultra-blended Strauss I am okay with :)

By "audio concept" are you referring to DG's close miking techniques of that time? I think the balances of the recordings are at least acceptable. The problem I think is that the tranfers from tape are tonally unloveable.
