Pick your top 5 composers from the choices above.

That was easy!  Only thing I had to really consider was Schubert vs Handel.

DavidW

Oh yeah mine are Beethoven, Mozart, Haydn, Bach and Schubert.

PaulSC

Mine were the same as haydnfan's, except with D. Scarlatti in place of Schubert.

Way too long a "period" (consisting of two distinct music-eras), way too few composers included.  And I'd still rather play the music than this game. :)

I think that we finally found a poll that Beethoven won't win... Bach is winning. :D

Lethevich

Rameau, Bach, Handel, Haydn, Beethoven

It was sad to have to leave Biber, Gluck and Purcell, but I don't listen to them enough.

Is Heinrich Biber related to Justin?

One of the more pleasant surprises I had recently was typing "Biber" into Google to find his Wikipedia article, and not being prompted by the expected "did you mean: Justin Bieber" stupid talk :)

Bach, Beethoven, Haydn, Mozart, Schubert :).

I don't know enough about this two-century period to cast any sort of valid vote. :(

Exactly who you'd think would win.

eyeresist

Well, if it works anything like elections, the first five names at the top of the ballot took the prize. Good news for Lawes (who?), Cavalli (who?), Carissimi (who?), Strozzi (who?), and a promotion for Lully.

J.S. Bach, G.F. Handel, F.J. Haydn, W.A. Mozart, L.V. Beethoven.
I wish I had room for D. Buxtehude, H.I.F. Biber, M.A. Charpentier, H. Purcell, and F. Schubert.
I agree with the others who say its way too long a time period.  Ought to be two periods: The beginning of time up through 1684, and 1685-1800.

I didn't know Mexico had changed their flag ...:D
I have absolutely no idea what your are writing about.  Can someone translate this into understandable standard English?

From under your avatar: New Mexico Flag.
It was an attempt at humor which apparently failed.
Ah, I forgot about that.  OK.  I didn't think of it, because my avatar and the description is simply wiped out by a red X in a box because something is blocking the display of the flag on my system.
