As I always like to know who I am dealing with I will do the same for you and introduce myself.

My name is Michael, friends call me Mike.
I am a cellist, currently studying at the Conservatorium of Amsterdam, after graduation I will try to get into the Wiener Musik Hochschule to study Orchestral Conducting.

As for favourite composers; I have many composers I adore, I'll name but a few; Tchaikovsky, Beethoven, Bax, Glass, Buxtehude, Mendelssohn, Elgar, Haendel etc etc

Anyway, if anyone has any questions, do not hesitate to ask.

Hi Michael, and welcome to GMG.  A very eclectic list of composers there, squeezing in Philip Glass among all the others!

[Well, if you're not Harry, then welcome aboard. :) Harry is long-time member of GMG (also from the Netherlands, incidentally) who most of us associate with Tchaikovsky's face, since he too uses the composer's photo as his avatar. :)]

Hi Mike, and welcome to GMG.  I see Elgar among your list of favorites.  I am one of his biggest fans.  I especially am interested in his "enigma."  Do you have any ideas about that?
