Yes, exactly. I totally agree with orfeo. :)

Sorry, I may have read a disagreement that wasn't there. :)

That's fair, I suppose. Writing about our experiences with music doesn't seem to come as easily for some as it does for others. So the substitute is to make lists and such, which can be fun, no question. But for me, when I set out to write about music on the board I tend to gravitate towards writing about my experiences when listening. It's almost as fun for me as the listening itself. Writing about the technical stuff I can take or leave.

Well put. I find it easier to write about technical stuff, but I'd rather write about my experiences.

That said, I'll be heading over to the "5 Favorite Schoenberg Works" thread now to make my list. ;D

Actually, this is why I've decided NOT to inform Florestan of any of my Rumanian travel plans. ;)

And you are wisely discrete about your current location.

I shall go on to the end. I shall seek you in France, I shall seek you on the seas and oceans, I shall seek you with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, I shall find you, whatever the cost may be. I shall seek you on the beaches, I shall seek you on the landing grounds, I shall seek you in the fields and in the streets, I shall seek you in the hills; I shall never give up.

I agree; you need to get out more.

And I apparently need to get out less, much much less.

That or assume a bewildering succession of improbable disguises.

Precauzioni inutili, all that. I know exactly where you will be on May 4th. I even know what you look like.

I do look slightly different from my gmg profile picture.

Older.

Less colorful.

But more human(e).  ;D

I hope the audience will like that opera. Good luck!

But Winston, you are going to be there, aren't you?

Well, Prague is not in France, so you are quite lucky this time.

Not to break in without having read the thread or anything :) , but: I don't see tiers, nor yet a level field, when I look at music. I see a range of peaks, slopes and valleys...
