For those composing members who haven't seen it, and who don't have Sibelius or Finale

Musescore is free notation software very much along the same lines, and seeming to include most of the features that I, personally, use in Sibelius (and my Sibelius use can get quite involved sometimes!). I've only looked at it briefly, was introduced to it by a colleague, the IT teacher at my school, so I haven't looked in depth, but what I have seen is rather impressive.

While I, personally, don't have use for this software, I'm happy note that they are involved in creating a copyright-free score and recording of the Goldberg Variations. :)
