Folks, I just made a Sporcle quiz in which you must listen to audio clips and name the composers. If you don't know what Sporcle is, it doesn't matter... just play it! Some of the answers will be very obvious, especially in this crowd, but others maybe not so easy. Give it a shot:

I don't see the audio clips...?

It is the youtube flash thing on the top. :)

Taking!

Took three tries to guess 1:00 and even then thought it was another work by that composer!
Correctly guessed 3:13's composer despite never having heard the work.

So far as I know, I have never heard 1:33, 2:41, 4:27, 5:22, or 6:23.
Correctly guessed all of them except 5:22 anyways. Turns out I had heard 2:41 before and forgotten it! The others I was able to figure out after a couple passes... but 5:22 has me completely thrown off.

I very much admire the choice at 4:14, you wily quiz-crafter you!

With 3:22 remaining I "gave up" and scored 24 out of 25.

I got four wrong: Handel, Cage, Haydn, and believe it or not, Ives.

5:22 was the hardest (did not have a clue), I only got 20/25, and was frustrated to finally remember (how could I forget?!) 2:41 right when I ran out of time! :D  Somehow I knew 3:45, typed it in but didn't get it, I must have just typed too fast and had a typo.  I thought there was a problem on one of the clips, before I got the joke and selected the answer.

I'm surprised Brian that you had difficulty with 3:13, I thought that the easiest one.  Sad thing is that 5:22 I had heard before, but disliked it enough that I only listened a couple of times and completely forgot it.

I like the setup, it would be nice to make use of that sporcle for the game.

That was fun! I'm glad I only had to know the composers because I wouldn't have done nearly as well if the correct work was required. I missed 3:13 (never heard of it) and 5:22 (kicking myself because I should have guessed from the composer's characteristic sound).

I logged into Naxos Music Library and got acquainted with that mysterious work from 3:13. Wondrous strange!

Thanks for a fascinating quiz!

This was interesting. Got 23/25, didn't know 2:41 and 5:22, though guessed 4-5 based more on composers style rather than knowing what it exactly was.
