Do you use it?

Is it safe?

Is it useful?

I ask because I have recently received some email requests to link with others (some I know, some I don't.) I have never gained any work from using the site, but before considering deleting my account, I thought I would check here.

I used it for a while but didn't see much point in it. It is certainly safe, but I doubt it opens up doors to significant opportunities. The old fashioned way is the best way so far: you have a skill, you look for an ad where such a skill is needed, and you apply for a job. This is as simple as it gets. Maybe others have gotten more out of LinkedIn... I found it boring for the most part.

A little too simple.  If you have a distinct, developed career path and a college education, why would you do it that way? ???
