I particularly liked No. 2. I felt that it had something really special about it, expressively and emotionally. I found it to be particularly engaging amongst the three pieces.

I find the slow tempo music [here in Prelude No. 2] to be more emotionally engaging and interesting than in the other movements. It has a wonderful depth to it.

This is a delightful work that is definitely worth a listen, not least because it will bring a smile to your face. The opening section is a Gavotte which is quite light and delightful. The second section is a  Landler which is also quite charming but it also has quite an emotional depth to it. The final movement is a buoyant March which stomps along merrily.

This is a buoyant and bouncy work which also has its moments of tenderness and poignancy. The slow movement is richly lyrical and lushly scored.

This is a relatively short but delightful work for two violins and cello. The work is in three movements. The musical language is straightforward but always charming.

I like this work. I like its musical language. I find it to be very expressive and engaging. It is discursive in tone, turbulent and exciting. It is most enjoyable and comes as recommended listening.
