Yes, I have listened to good things about that performance. I'm very interested.

Do you know a version on Denon by Ryo Terakado, Masahiro Arita, Chiyoko Arita (Masahiro's wife, harpsichordist) et al.? It's a beautiful no-nonsense version and one of my favorites. I recalled this because there is a very good offer on Amazon MarketPlace:

Thanks for refreshing my memory!
I must have that one somewhere on Music Cassette. I remember I liked it a lot, too. Could be a 2nd hand purchase in the near future .... :)

You are welcome, Marc. It's a beautiful recording. When I listened to that CD for the first time, I was amazed by Masahiro Arita's mastery.

Arita also excels on this Denon/Aliare recording:

It was later reissued for Brilliant Classics. I've got this combi-box with Bach's Brandenburg Concertos (by Belder et al):

But since this is Don's review thread, I'd better leave the opinions to him. ;D

Darn!  I had hoped to find some reviews by Don here.  Let's kick it off with one that strikes me as a model of informed and informative reviews, notable for its thoughtful clarity and pithiness.

Just one man's opinions would make for a rather boring thread, so I encourage you and others to offer as many opinions as you like.

They will be coming, but it takes time to do new reviews the right way.

Thanks for nice comments about my Fellner review.  Although done a few years ago, I remember loving that recording as well as getting much enjoyment from preparing the write-up.

Yes, I have this incarnation:

Excellent 2nd Orchestral Suite with Arita. He also recorded this Bach with his wife and Hidemi Suzuki:

Well, I supposse it's enough of these off-topic comments.  :)
