Vin Diesel has one saving grace for me - Pitch Black was a pretty good film, and like the best films of this type it was scripted around his acting talents.

What acting talents are those then?

Well for sure, his muscles are more expressive than his face. Might they have to share an acting award for special rippling effects?

I think they award that for best special effects! :D  I guess a new challenge would be to cgi emotional expression and depth into Diesel's acting. ;D

A Dickens character shows off the waxworks she caretakes. 'Miss, I seem some wax people as looks startling like life, and some in life what looks jus' like wax'.

The Fast and Furious franchise is the best thing going in cinema today.
I expect it deserves a prize of special merit from the Darwin Awards.

Agreed. By far the best one he has done.

Lethevich

I rewatched Pitch Black earlier - it's fairly interesting how it managed to make a $23m budget look a quarter of that due to the coloured filters during the daytime scenes ;D

Apparently VD's first short film (Multi-Facial) was a proper effort and got decent reviews - the moar you know :)

I enjoy Vin in roles that don't require too much of the tender emotions. Pitch Black, as mentioned, is a favourite - thankfully, the "trickerated" visual style dies down as the movie proceeds. The sequel, however, is a colossal steaming pile. Apparently the video game is great!

I enjoyed xXx, and liked the way it was sort of an American take on James Bond (with all that implies).

I even like the Fast and Furious films. For what they are, they're really well done for the most part. Better art and acting than certain "art" films...

Are you really this clueless about America?

E! Entertainment. Monster trucks. The Kardashians. I have to assume that all this garbage on my screen has some basis in reality.
