He's not so much missing as he is simply quiet compared to usual.

Exactly. But it feels very good to know that I'm missed. Thanks, guys, love you too! :-*

Music should humbly seek to please; within these limits great beauty may perhaps be found. Extreme complication is contrary to art. Beauty must appeal to the senses, must provide us with immediate enjoyment, must impress us or insinuate itself into us without any effort on our part.- Debussy

Another member I miss is Ray (ChamberNut). I wonder what's happened to him. I'm friends with him on Facebook, but I haven't seen any activity from him in quite some time.

Yes... I was wondering where Ray is too... I haven't seen him here or on facebook for quite a while. Hope he gets back soon.

I sincerely hope that I was in no way responsible for David's (W) deletion of his membership and that this is just part of his regular practice of taking a break every few months. :(

With hockey finally back in Winnipeg and the Mosquitos .... I mean the JETS within 2 points of a playoff spot, maybe Ray decided to concentrate on hockey for a few weeks and, hopefully, a couple of months. Two-For-Roughing and Five-For-Fighting and a Ten-Minute-Misconduct don't go well with chamber music, as you know.

He says not, Navneeth. He is under lots of pressure at work right now and needed a break. He'll be back soon to run the blind listening on the Haydn Op 50. :)

But where better to take a break and relax than here, where your friends are always up for a knockdown-dragout fight over the inconsequential?  ;D

Thanks for the message, Gurn. I was especially worried since he was excited about the Haydn blind listening. I look forward to his return.

I really miss Saul....NOT!!! I know Brian has been busy, but I miss his posts

Aw, thanks. :) Yeah, I'm busy these days and am lucky to squeeze in a post a day. I just got back from a 9-day vacation too - not only no GMG, but no classical music!  :o

That is not a vacation. That is inprisonment!

Something like. Even I listened to some Bruckner on our recent vacation . . . .
