It depends upon your meaning of engaged!

Quote from: Karl Henning on October 11, 2024, 08:53:52 PMHow does it go?--Be kind, for everyone you meet is engaged in a great struggle.

Getting out of bed, mostly. Once I'm out it's usually pretty good.

Oh, the other struggle is keeping the podcast episode queue under control.
I finally have the ability to edit my signature again. But no, I've no idea what I want to say here right now.

Well, to be honest, your comment about returning to an empty/lonely house was sad to read.  And I do wish the best for you.  I'm just bringing it up because we all have our struggles.  We're all human.  Even the gods had their problems.  ;)

Best wishes,

Always a shame when people you like go elsewhere and you lose the stimulus they bring. Having said that, we all have 'stuff' and we all come here - and leave here - for different reasons.

I appreciate this forum mostly for the music discussion and thoughtful writing of those who contribute. The spats and drama mostly whoosh on over my head, because people are people wherever you go. Gregory House is correct - people are often bastard covered bastards, but dig deep enough and there is connection and decency enough to to be found in even the strangest of us. As others have said, no forum is perfect. Certainly none of them are enough to disturb my peace. I know we aren't all built the same.

I will miss Spotty, but others of you remain enough for my reasons to stay. I do hope for a future return, however.

Definitely. Ask Wagner. Or rather, ask Anna Russell https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m69aPAo1rXE

The gods had their problems, but they didn't appreciate Wagner compounding those problems 😉

I will also add I was always told explicitly why I got in trouble on this forum, and I was always in the wrong (I can be impish).

I can only speak for myself, but I would be shocked if I am an exception.

Logically you must be an exception if you're always in the wrong. People need only oppose you occasionally to be in the right on those occasions.

Oh, I failed; I bought the speakers. :o

Quote from: DavidW on October 13, 2024, 06:14:00 AMOh, I failed; I bought the speakers. :o

For what it's worth, these speakers are worth every penny, and will fit many configurations. As a matter of fact, one of my musical friends has them too, bought them a couple of months ago and he is almost calling me daily to tell what he heard, and what he never heard before. He feels the need to play every single CD in his collection anew, but with more than 15.000 CD's that will be quite a task. And he is already 71 years of age, but as happy as a child with the R 11.
Freedom of speech is a right for all humans. Being curtailed by a moral society in what one can say these days and what not, creates discordance almost instantly. Before you know it, you already have offended someone.  I have therefore no need to share more than the CD's I play, exceptions allowed.
