Was, unfortunately. I think the name change was the last thing he did before deleting his account. The cause was a fracture in the HIP. :(

Is Andre' now "Lilas Pastia" ?!

I wanted to send him a message, but that new name does not work!

Your "name" can be different from your login ID and I think that if you delete your account your name defaults to the login ID.  (A lot of people changed their name when an attack on the site was causing people to get logged out of the site some time ago).

Yes, Scarpia is correct. Lilas Pastia is the name André used when he joined. André was a pseudonym that disappeared when he scarpered off.... :-\

Quote...and I think that if you delete your account your name defaults to the login ID.

But sites in general don't allow spaces within the login IDs.

EDIT: Okay, apparently this one does. ;D

Still, that was the last he did, but inadvertently. ;)

Oh my!  I do not follow that topic (HIP) and have not been able to visit much in general.

I do have Andre's address so I will send him an actual letter on paper!   8)

Maybe send a telegram. On a TV program here, a TV actor told the story. On his anniversary, he was away shooting a TV series. So he went to the post office to ask if they can still send telegrams. They said they do have that service, although it hasn't been used in ages. So he decided to send his wife a telegram. It arrived a week later, just moments before he arrived back home.
Do what I must do, and let what must happen happen.

I received a telegram last December. It arrived in a FedEx envelope.

Although I suspect you have some pretty strong ideas about it. I mean I have seen some of your comments here and there.  ;D ;)

I have ideas about it, but whether they are "strong"...  ;D

My letter is on its way to Andre': not long ago he sent me some CD's with the music of Goffredo Petrassi, which is most excellent and highly recommended.  Specifically he sent the 8 Concerti for Orchestra, which begin in a Hindemithian style, but then evolve into something very personal and unusual.

I see our friend Scots John is among the currently inactive. More's the pity, Although I can imagine deep December in Scotland would cause any bear to hibernate. Any word from him outside this venue?  :-\

Anyone heard from Drasko? Last active in mid-December.

Concerning former member Andre' who lives in Canada (Montreal), also known as Lilas Pastia:

I have mailed him a few notes with homemade CD's of rare items to both his home and business addresses, in an attempt to lure him out of his silence.

No response after a month!  I tend to be persistent about things like this, so I will probably try one more time.

Lethevich. Still feel quite bad and embarrassed about some stupid PMs I sent her.

Her messages were always so positive, uplifting and funny.
