I've come up with a third possibility.  The snyprrr has a job.

Maybe he got on with an exterminator company?  He mentioned that he was a starving artist, and he does say "Rat Poison is 99% good food".

Or perhaps he's a member of a jury..

It may be he has been huckled by the local cops for smoking too much weed.   $:)

He got called back to his home planet.

Sergeant Rock

Mossad finally captured him; he's being "interrogated" as we speak.

That's a good one.

And yet, no snyprrr.  He disappeared just as the shutdown started.  Coincidence?  I think not.  Snyprrr was a covert operative of the US government, and is now on furlough.

Is it not more likely that he was an advanced bot and like a lot of US Gov sites, he is presently deactivated?

Yes, that does give pause for reflection... ???

The former coopmv could easily have been a computer program.  I think the program could be reduced to a very compact form.

subroutine 1:
"Now listening to CD <random integer> of this set for a first listen"
<random ASIN reference:year of composition before 1800>

subroutine 2:
"That CD has been part of my collection since <random date between 1/1/1990 and current date>"

But snyprrr?  No computer program could duplicate the snyprrr.

Anyone heard from Navneeth (Opus 106) in the last week.
He was last active on 10/7.
My knowledge of where the actual impact zone was is hazy, but I was under the impression that Chennai was not directly threatened by that enormous Bengal cyclone.

No, Chennai (Madras) is about halfway down the east coast of India, well south of any but the most peripheral winds and surf. I would speculate a vacation, long overdue, although I don't know really. :-\

My dear friend, Navneeth (in fact, my first true classical music friend!), does from time to time take extended breaks from GMG.  I'm sure he will be back in the not so distant future.
