If you imply exclusive favorite . . . I demand the vote for banana!

Well, he's one of my favorites. Part of a triumvirate, as it were. I can't say yes because it isn't exclusive, but I can't say no because he's tied at the top. I hate this poll. Freakin' Greg. I think this thread should turn into an ad hominem 'attack Greg' thread...  :D

Yes and No.  It is Beethoven and Brahms (I cannot favour one over the others).  These two are my co-favourite composers.

I'd like to see this on the thread alignment thread:

Is your favorite composer Beethoven?

Logically speaking, the reply "Someone else", to the question provided, is as good as "banana".

Nay, for a vote for "someone else" implies some other composer who is an exclusive favorite.

I demand the fruit option!

If you feel so strongly about it, then let's start occupying GMG....er wait, we already do that.

Please define: to be, favorite, composer, Beethoven.
"Beauty must appeal to the senses, must provide us with immediate enjoyment, must impress us or insinuate itself into us without any effort on our part. ." — Claude Debussy

Josquin des Prez

Late Beethoven and Bach can be found at the summit of my musical hierarchy, so i voted yes, just to stress the fact i have a personal hierarchy.

The question is, why do you ask?

I'm surprised! I would have thought in your personal view things had been down hill since Philippe de Vitry!!   :D

Mm, would not be such a bad view at all.
With some exceptions of course.
