You'd think this would be easy to identify since it is such a well-written piece, but after downloading this from mp3.com 10 years ago I still can't track down the name of the piece or composer.  From what I remember it is an opera overture:

The file name is exactly the same as when I first downloaded it.  Not sure if Huang is the composer or the conductor.  I know there's a Chinese composer An-Lun Huang, but from what I've heard of his work it's not really his style.  This overture (I'm asuming "OPERA OV" stands for Opera Overture) sounds early 20th century, whereas An-Lun Huang is more avant-garde.  It sounds like there's a bit of Holst in there, and some Americana like Copland, even some jazziness.  "w RUSSI" might stand for "with Russian Philharmonic" or something like that.

From the file tags it seems like the mp3.com page belonged to a publisher called Eroica Classical Recordings (eroica.com) but I can't find anything on their site that would contain this music.

A big thanks to anyone who can name this piece that I've been listening to for a decade!
