I don't see a problem here. It's the same slime that attributes the greatness to what it hears.

Seriously though, I thought the line brought an interesting new twist to an old philosophical question. The sight of internal organs is disgusting to most of us - and yet these blobs of goowy, disgusting, smelly flesh can generate great philosophy, music, art (etc) as well as the ability to grasp & appreciate them.
