Slatkin at a young age decides that LvB's 9th will run smoother if the choral parts are cut:

Did a search here on Slatkin, I'm a fan of many of his recordings, although he dosen't seem to popular here, and this thread popped up.
I'm a few years behind in reading this, but very, very funny. I love the playing all Bruckner symphonies in one concert.  ;D
