Are you saying you love every sonata equally?

Yes.

Might compare with my friends and family, each of whom I love equally, but in different ways.
Reality trumps our fantasy far beyond imagination.

I'm not, but I do love them all.

I only had one favorite, so I voted for that one - op 109. No matter how many times I listen to this, I hear it differently. There always seems to be something new. It's brilliantly written. It is probably my favorite instrumental piece ever too. Can you tell I like it?!?! :o
Be kind to your fellow posters!!

Difficult question. Anyway, my choices were opp. 2/3, 13, 53, 57, 81a, 90, 106, 109, 110, 111.

I was glad to see other votes for op. 2/3. ;)

Op.109, 111 stand proudly above all the rest for me.  I think there are plenty of other fabulous sonatas in the 32, but none quite as special.

How many people don't actually know them by opus number, just by the numerical order? :D

No.30 as others have said is one of his best, such a fine conclusion to it really.

Of the early ones I've always had a soft spot for No2, I think I remember reading that someone had wrote a short story in some way around it as well.  I like consistency and it has fine melodic ideas throughout, a rather fine slow movement too.

Of the middle period ones no15 I think made a lasting impression, the laid back nostalgic whimsy of it appeals to me.
