Not yet.  I did buy the following Mullova's recordings over the past year.  They are all relatively recent releases ...
I went ahead and ordered it the other day and just got confirmation that it has shipped, so it should arrive next week.  The disc with Carmignola is a good one and I'll be very surprised if her new sons & parts recording isn't something special.

I might have seen Carmignola in concert eight or nine years ago when my wife and I attended a Mostly Mozart Festival concert in NY performed by none other than the great I Solisti Veneti conducted by its long-time conductor Claudio Scimone.  I think Carmignola might be the lead violinist of that ensemble as I saw its name among the I Solisti roster of instrumentalists ...

Me, too.  Did you get it, Stuart?

I'm going to get that too David. I've been wanting a new version of the S&P's.   8)

Opinions on this???

Mandryka

Haydn String Quartets -- Tartrai.

You see I've been listening to them in Beethoven and I am impressed.

But the problem is the price -- so does anyone know these performances?

Do they justify the high Supraphon price? The whole lot? Or just some?

Did Supraphon reissue the old Hungaroton set?

Valentino

This, or someone else? I do not know these works.

I love music. Sadly, I'm an audiophile too.

I'm a big fan of Anda/Fricsay on DG for those works.

This one is gorgeous, and cheap.

A reissue of an old Teldec recording which is superb.

Lilas Pastia

Mahler's 6th. Eduard van Beinum, Concertgebouw Orchestra. Live 1955, with obvious technical limitations. There's a Tahra  release and a Haydn House private remastering.

Anyone knows if it's worth seeking?

My fault -- I should have said Hungaraton

I have most of that set and find it to be excellent across the board. I actually had the finale of one of the Haydn Quartets (the one with a lot of false endings, I forget the opus) on an intro to music CD from college. At the time I didn't collect classical, but that performance really struck me as being perfect for the music, fast, witty and playful. I later found out it was the Tatrai QT and proceeded to buy the individual volumes whenever I saw them. I know that Bogey likes them as well.

The complete set would make a nice Brilliant Classics box.  :)

It certainly would -- right now it costs about £140.

Someone let me listen to their Beethoven Opus 127 and I'm so impressed that I am really tempted. And I like Haydn string Quartets a lot.

I've only seen the set in individual volumes. It was released as a complete set as well?

Yes sir.  It's an excellent Hungaroton box for someone with sufficient coin to acquire it.
