 Philip Greeley Clapp(1888-1954) was one of this country's greatest music educators. He was also a fine conductor & composer. For sale, his Symphony #5 in D, from Mrs. Clapp's private collection. The New Hampshire Sym. Orch.; James Bolle, conductor, and the choral/orchestral work, A Chant of Darkness. This set to a poem by Helen Keller. The University of Iowa Symphony Orchestra(which Clapp founded & conducted) & Choirs, conducted by James Dixon, the orchestra's second long-time maestro. CD is excellent stereo. Price is $10.00.
