Scion7

They were sched'd to be in this area in April.  I've seen a couple videos for them and personally don't care for the marching around the stage schtick.  ::)
Tickets range from $20-$30.   All I can find about their performance agenda is that they perform in many genres - pop, classical, jazz, et al - but the university concert series flagged it as classical.
Looking for info - cuz their dang home page sure doesn't go into details.

If they are touring with Hindemith and so on, I might go.

But I am completely uninterested in some 'trendy' sort of show.  blah.

Saint-Saëns, who predicted to Charles Lecocq in 1901: 'That fellow Ravel seems to me to be destined for a serious future.'

You sound like me: always slightly hopeful, but,... well..., you know!

You say "Hindemith AND so on",... haha. What 'trendy' group can AFFORD to play more than one thing we might want to hear? It's either Hindemith, or Persichetti,... but you would be living a dream if you found a totally tailored recital (to good to be true?,... Twilight Zone??). I feel your pain, especially, perhaps, the tinges of resentment at a good group potentially selling out. And especially the suspicion that the school considers "new age" classical. Hmmm.

Whaaat??? You don't want to hear funky latin hip sounds, man?? It's gonna be spiritual!
