It's funny, it did bring back memories...
At George Mason U. I had a Horn jury really early one morning, it went pretty well to begin with, but I didn't warm up enough and began to lose steam. I can't remember the piece but it ended on a descending arpeggio finishing on a low G, which when I reached it nothing came out but air, so the one of the instructors at the jury sang the note for me...so embarrassing.

Bravo to this woman, and her butterfly companion.

A few years ago in orchestra at my university we played Dvorak 9. During a concert at the end of the scherzo, the D string on my violin decided to completely de-tune and totally loosen. I was mortified, but I actually managed to get it back up to a 'D' during the "Jaws" opening of the finale!
