And some would say that 16 hrs/day is a bit extreme . . . . . . .  :D

When I found classical music 10 years ago I listened classic FM radio all day long, maybe 4000 hours in year 1997. Nowadays 0-8 hrs/day, 2 hrs/day in average I think.
Spatial distortion is a serious problem deteriorating headphone listening.
Crossfeeders reduce spatial distortion and make the sound more natural
and less tiresome in headphone listening.

That's no problem, but I do give her some of my attention.  She's at work during the week days.

So you have time to return to many of your cd's huh?
That's at least a good thing, if you don't have as many cd's as I have.

I don't listen to radio much anymore, I mean I listen to my classical CDs 2 hrs/day on average. I am online a lot and I can't concentrate on music while posting in English. My linguistical skills are very limited and if I wrote/read something in English most of my brainpower goes to that.

There was a time when I used to listen 24 hours a day. (I put 6 CDs in my CD changer when I go to bed). Now it is down to about 4 to 6 hours a day, though sometimes it can be up to 10 hours. My car CD player is broken, which also accounted for the loss of listening time. Then again, the radio DJs here are fun to listen to as well. Not a bad idea to occasionally listen to what most other people listen to.

Gosh really, well English is my second language almost, I think and dream in English.
I thought that the Scandinavians were excellent in English.

The classical radio in the Netherlands is bad, real bad, more talking then music.

Harry, I suspect that you "multitask" while you listen to music (i.e., listening is not your exclusive activity when music is playing).
