Seems to me that you want a beginner list that pretty much looks like just about every other beginner list that's available.  Why bother if we have nothing to add except the same type of works? 

Further, I'm not interested in providing a list to folks who casually enter classical music for a few listens.  My interest is a serious list for serious persons who want to dive in with some dedication.

Also, I hope you're aware that, because of the very small number of members who are participating on this thread, the entries of any one member will be all out of proportion.  It's not my fault or yours, just the way it currently stands.  So please come back with your entries.

The +2/+1/-1 system is a good way of dealing with a situation where five or more people are voting, but with just 3 we can just make lists...

I wish it had gone much further - at least to 500, if not 1000. And even more than that would've been great.
