Quote of the day:

from the liner notes to Hyperion's recording of music by Sir Alexander Campbell Mackenzie [The Cricket on the Hearth Overture, Op. 62/Music for [Shakespeare's]Twelfth Night, Op. 40/Benedictus Op.37 No. 3 arranged for orchestra by the composer/Burns--Second Scotch Rhapsody, Op. 24/Coriolanus: Incidental Music, Op. 61  Hyperion CDA66764 reissued as Helios CDH55395), by John Purser, copyright date 1995

He is speaking of the music to Twelfth Night, and the character Sir Toby Belch

It is not at all surprising that Mackenzie obviously sides with Sir Toby. A musician who has not sung drunkenly at midnight is not worthy of the profession, and Mackenzie was a thorough professional.

Daniel will obviously have to wait a couple more years to prove he is worthy of the profession.
