Bottomless, topless, and sideless, I imagine.

Ergo: You become everything.

This is the great thing about The Shed. You get the whole universe AND it keeps the rain out.

I don't know if this is the right place to post this, but today, something funny (and kinda nice) happened.

You know that when you type something on your iPad, words are "anticipated" at the top of the onscreen keyboard, with three suggestions . Well, this morning I was writing an e-mail, and when I was going to type a word starting with the letter z, the central suggestion that came up was...Zvezdoliki:)

Among much else, I've learnt two things:
1. My parakeet really, really enjoys the fourth Brandenburg Concerto.
2. Unlike many humans, he's not picky about which performance it may be.

Aw, sweet!  You have a parakeet!  And one who enjoys music!  I had a cat who seemed to enjoy Vaughan Williams.  :)  I remember seeing her sitting in front of one of the speakers when I put him on.

RIP my sweet girl.

He's quite vocal when the music I'm playing is not his bag, too. I respect his sonic space.

So it doesn't matter whether it's recorders or traverse flutes - or have you tried to let him hear Dart's sopranino recorder special (on Marriner's first recording ca. 1969)?
Any so-called free choice is only a choice between the available options.

I haven't played him the Marriner. He seems pretty easy, but offhand I think he's only heard recorders there.

I definitely listen to Allan Pettersson in another room. If I'm lucky, he doesn't insist that I shut the door.
