M wouldn't be secretive, he would be right in our faces - just show up one day and say: HERE I am! :)

I would actually like that. 8)

I agree, no revisionism. I wasted far too much time moderating M. I am pretty sure that if the new poster keeps posting, it will become clear who it is.

So far, The Raven is just a new member who's participating in this thread with an explicit opinion about (other members of) this board. No more, no less.

And plz, let's not ruin a thread by gossiping and talking negative about (former) members without proof.

We have every right to question the questioner, who seems to be perfectly at home and unafraid to let us know about a forum they have not supposedly been privy to.  We are not gossiping.  We are speculating.  The thread is not 'ruined.'  These things are necessary.  Anything else is lame.

What Marc said.

oh my!!! this looks like a psychiatric ward more than a forum. are you a cult or something, planning to commit a sheep-like suicide? or is this what they call a mass hysteria? am I on candid camera?

thank you marc and premont but I guess there won't be any debate as they've already burned the witch...

What Marc said.

Not a robust approach to someone who wades in with negative opinions on something they ostensibly know about.  Its about time someone ruffled our feathers, and raven has succeeded in that regard.  What Marc said is a weak response.

A curious phrase.  How do sheep commit suicide?  I know about lemmings, but sheep?  You've piqued my interest.  Please elaborate.

Domesticated sheep are notorious for mass suicide if left to themselves by any natural defiles or cliffs especially when in mountainous terrain. Once spooked, whole flocks can be lost. Lightning is one factor in their proclivity for mass suicide. Another is the presence of predators. For example, in their flocking tendency, they follow the leader and if and when one spooked sheep falls off a cliff, the rest will follow unhesitantly

Todd

I question whether sheep form an intention to commit suicide, but in any event, the answer seems to hint at who the poster may be.

Well Raven, I like your style, regardless of its content.  The explanation for sheep deaths is interesting, if somewhat made up.   Thankfully, some of us are not of the Ovis arie species, and will engage with you as undomesticated Homo sapiens instead.   :D
