that's like contagion here. if you don't know it doesn't exist, right?

Very interesting, but I am not a farmer or shepherd.  Sheep mass suicide may exist, but it is as uncommon as cliffs and rumbling grounds are to sheep.  Unfortunately, GMG has not had an earthquake, nor is it near any cliffs.  If it is contageous, some or many of us are immune.  Given your position on this, you might like this...

You may be guilty of " reminiscent of Daphne du Maurier's The Birds, turned by Alfred Hitchcock into one of the most chilling movies of all time."

Yes, it's Moonlighting! Quick, you be Cybil Shepherd, I'll be the bald guy.

I strongly suspect it's a current member having a bit of "fun". Not prepared to name names just yet, though.

So, what music do you like?

Indeed, I'm still waiting for those informed contributions to to the musical debate too.... Time to move on! :)

Anyway, I guess GMG is still as lively as it was before. 8)

And I think there is nothing wrong with the quality of the debate here - as can be expected, different people have a different take on the matter. But I enjoy most contributions, whether it is just a "like" or "don't like" or  a more in depth analysis with a lot of back ground information.  :)

Not much changed over time IMO, except for the fact that some individuals that looked for something more (or bigger for their egos) than just a place to chat about music have left.

Raven, do you think Mozart is a fraud?  ;D

And a member of the Martian Illuminati?

Of course, who doesn't think that?!   0:)

Stupid sheep deaths seem to occur mainly in Turkey, from what I found in Google: panic of course might send a group over a cliff, rather than a dark atrabilious sheepression.   8)
