deafeninglysilent_1.61...

I have been investigating many recordings of Wagner's Ring Cycle, and am wondering what recordings all of you like.

I personally like the Wagner of Karajan for its lyricism and of Solti for its... electrifying feel. I have heard good things about Levine's maintaining good structure of the overall piece in his recordings, but I have not gotten that far in my search thus far.

EDIT:
I was intending to post this in the recordings section of the forums, but accidentally posted it here (as I'm a newcomer, I'm still getting used to the forum's layout). So... since we're in the YouTube section of the forums... any good YouTube recordings/samples of Ring performances?

For discussion of various Ring recordings you may want to consult the "One Ring to Rule Them All" thread in the "Opera and Vocal" section of the site.
