I'm new to classical music listening and so when I hear a piece in pop culture I like to find out more about it. I haven't been able to figure this one out. It is at the end of a Tom and Jerry cartoon. Below is a link to a YouTube video of it. It is at the very end at about position 4:50. One of the comments stated that it was "The Sorcerer's Apprentice", but I don't believe that is correct.

he was as f*cked-up as you are."

Sarge is correct, naturally.  :D
If you want to hear it played at full pelt instead of the Tom and Jerry version, there are some fine recordings out there.  Get involved with GMG and you can find out more.  There is so much more in the World of Classical Music you can get your teeth into.

Thank you!! I have to say I feel kind of dumb now as I already have that piece in my collection. It's on a SACD (The Living Stereo series) that I got because I really like "Pictures at an Exhibition". This is what happens when you are all excited about a new hobby and buy music faster than you can listen to it all.  :)

That's the spirit! You're one of us already!
Men profess to be lovers of music, but for the most part they give no evidence in their opinions and lives that they have heard it.  ~ Henry David Thoreau
