Hey,

Can anyone name the piece of music used in this documentary?

It would be greatly appreciated.

The piece in question begins around the 25:00 minute mark.

I'm not telling you.   >:D
At least have the courtesy to introduce yourself first.  If you joined just to have that question answered, someone might help you.  It happens all the time, then we never hear from the poster again.  Anyway, if that is the only piece of music you are interested in, you have come to the wrong place.

FYI, John, this is what the Dungeon Master has to say about this section of the forum: "This is the only board which guests can post to without registering...".*

I'm not sure if you're joking -- perhaps you were -- but I don't see the reason why someone has to identify themselves and describe their loves and hates in detail, just so a member would put a name to a piece of music. Personally, I don't expect anything more than a word of gratitude in return, if I happen to label it correctly for that person. I mean, I don't have anything against their introducing themselves, but a post like yours above is likely to drive this person away rather than endear him or her to the members of this forum or,  extrapolating (given the stereotype), to any classical music listener, for that matter.

I've found out what it was called.

Have a nice day both of you.

Yes, I suppose you're right Navneeth.
Problem is, the person did register.  If the questions like these come from 'guests', I would try to help them and not be nasty at all.  But they do register creating a false assumption that they are interested in Classical Music, when all they want is to identify a piece of music.  I guess I am out of order for being so blunt, but there is something in registering to have a single question answered that strikes me as somewhat sly.   :'(
Anyway, I better get off my high horse and listen to some Wagner, and not do this again.   :-\
