David, I'd say Boult for sure (either one).  I've only heard the 6th from Andrew Davis, but it is splendid!

I am excited for you to get your RVW symphonies box, whichever you decide upon! 

I have a feeling John (MI) won't be voting for Slatkin.

Sorry, Dave, I only have the Haitink so cannot really help you on this. However, I have been reading all these posts on the 'considering' thread and now here with much interest, and excitement to see which you pick! I'll probably end up wanting another one fairly soon, but first I need to revisit the whole Haitink set which has been on my listening pile for quite a long time....

Boult Decca (which every lover of VW has to own) and Haitink. If given a third and fourth choice, it would be Slatkin, then Thomson.

These poll results are contradicting my expectations from the posts... I was expecting Boult (decca) to have a large lead, it doesn't at all.  Only one person voted for that set.  Currently Haitink is in the lead.

I want to see what happens later.  While I'm sleeping I bet the Europeans will be up and voting in this thread.

Previn and Slatkin for me.  But then, those are the only two I own, and really, the only two I plan on getting.  I marginally prefer Slatkin.

This isn't my favorite stuff, but Haitink makes dull seem even duller. Boult is OK, but even that doesn't hold my interest. Previn is the only set I can listen to and not fidget.

Previn = used for $50 but with a seller with a poor rating on amazon mp (if you screw up nearly 1 in 10 orders, you're doing something wrong).

Haitink = controversial 

and Handley has the same rating.  It's cheaper to buy the big set so I just did.
