Brand new.  :)

The City Strange

Very nice.  Probably because I am still in a state of recovery from long hours at the MFA shop where the CD was periodic sonic background, I was reminded strongly of the Amélie soundtrack; only your composition is superior.

Thank you for listening, Karl, and for the compliment.  ;D

A little piece I just wrote, in about 5 hours, had the day off and wanted to complete something before I had to pick up my son. A little trio for piano, flute and cello called Lonely Juggler.

Just uploaded a new piece I composed this week called Wings. It's definitley in the same vein as The City Strange with a minimalism influence.

Wings and all my other works can be found on My SoundCloud Page. I hope you enjoy and thanks for listening!

Just completed a new piece called Imaginary Dinner. It's up on my Sound Cloud page, again used Finale Print Music for the notation and Garriton Orchestra for the sounds.
I now have 20 pieces up on Sound Cloud! Here's the link if you would like to listen!

Walt Whitman

Greg,

I just spent some time listening to your music making that you've posted to Soundcloud and must say it's very captivating. Movements - for Trombone Quartet starts out very Philip Glass (Koyaanisqatsi: Pruit Igoe) and transforms itself into a very Bachian feel. The rest of your music that I listened to: Imaginary Dinner, On the Beach, The Passion of Beckett Zayd and Elegy for Strings had, in the best way possible, a strong flavor of Ray Lynch and Karl Jenkins' more melodic pieces. I loved the stark pining and dark aloneness of Elegy, with just a ray of hope's sunshine to trace its arc. On the Beach has strong hints of Glass' Trilogy Sonata. All very original, yet harkening to their influences.

Keep composing and developing your art; it is very human and it reaches. And that reaching is truly all a creator of art can hope for.

Thank you very much for the kind words, inspiration and more importantly, for listening, Rick. I really do appreciate it.  :)

I've been listening Ray Lynch since Deep Breakfast was originally released in the 80s, so it's easy to say there is some influence there. In fact, Imaginary Dinner was my attempt at creating a work similar to that of Lynch. And also Glass, another influence on me.
